50m Physiotherapy Treatment

This is a 50 minute assessment including both a discussion and questioning about your problem and then a physical examination. At the end of this a hypothesis or diagnosis will be given and a treatment plan agreed with you. Based on that diagnosis you will then receive advice, exercises and a short treatment.

Why mummies matter...

Mummies Matter was created as we recognise that becoming a mummy means your life will never be the same again! This can be the happiest time of your life as you bring the most precious thing into the world. It's also possibly the most exhausting and demanding time as you take on the most responsible job of your life.

We are mums too so we know that it's so easy to give your all to your little bundle and that you can sometimes lose a little bit of you.

We wanted Mummies Matter to provide a service to mums that recognises that as a mum "you" exist and matter too. A happy fulfilled mummy means a happy and fulfilled child.

Our team consists of Physiotherapists that are trained in the field of antenatal and postnatal but we also recognise that we don't know everything and will happily refer our clients on or recommend other services if we cannot provide the service or need for you, our client.

At mummies matter, we offer a truly wide range of courses. This is to encompass all the different needs of a mummy from when she's with her bump, right through to caring for her toddler.

Feel free to bring your car seat or pram with you which you can leave in the waiting area. There is a baby change and toilets and the studio is very baby friendly. You will be asked to leave your shoes in the waiting area of the studio and socks can be worn. The Mummies Matter Pilates class at Hot Lotus studios is not a hot class. However the studio does get used for other hot classes and therefore the studio is often warm. It is therefore advisable to wear layers of clothing so you can remove a layer if you are warm and it is also advisable to dress your baby for a warm environment.

Please bring a bottle of water with you and there is also a water dispenser to fill your bottle.

Mummies Matter Membership

Yes you’re a Mum - and YES you still want to look and feel GREAT, be surrounded by fabulous, like minded women and feel supported as you do the most important job on this planet!! Welcome to the mummies Matter Membership - an online community where you get the health, body and relationship support so YOU can be your best self as you take care of the precious people around you!

As a busy mum myself, I know how easy it was to put my own needs, health and self care to the bottom of the pile, while at the same time knowing fully that we need to look after ourselves first and foremost for us to feel and be at our best. It was from this and my life as a physio and pilates instructor that the Mummies Matter Membership was born - an online community supporting fabulous women to live their best lives.

In this community you get support, training and classes so that you can feel fabulous as a mum. Here’s what you can expect from mummies matters membership...

Two brand new bespoke pilates classes each month, focusing on strengthening your core and pelvic floor muscles (just to mention a few) so you can start to feel confident and strong in your body after pregnancy and birth - and the best bit is you get to do it in your own time, at home while baby sleeps!

Expert guest trainings, sharing top tips for all things mummy hood - from nutrition, to relationships we will have it all to get YOU feeling like the SUPER-MUM you really are!

A fabulous supportive community of like minded women where you can share your journey, laugh and cry in a space where you feel safe and supported

Monthly Q&A sessions to ask all those burning questions and ensure you feel fab!

We all know that mummy hood can be a real rollercoaster - those amazing highs but in truth also the lows. The times when you feel like superwoman and the times you feel your failing completely. The questions and doubts, the laughs and love. It turns our lives and bodies inside-out…….but we wouldn’t have it any other way. However….be part of a community, giving yourself a place to fill your cup first, is so important when we are juggling so much.

Craving some time to yourself, craving some space where you have no responsibility is totally normal and necessary. At times you miss those nights where you could stay up late, with no repercussion early the next morning, the time when you could be impulsive, where you could just jump in the car with nothing other then your keys, where you could just pop to the gym or the shops, where you could lie in until 10.00am and enjoy breakfast in bed with your loved one.

It’s easy to feel fed up of negotiations just to get a night out, or an hour to yourself, and everything can feel so timed - i hear you! Well - as mums we get it and boy it can feel good to share, rather then storing it up inside of you while you smile sweetly (or not). As mums we can laugh together and share the stories that alone can leave us in tears, as mums we LOVE our children so deeply - but we are also women and need to honour that.

If you feel yourself nodding, you know this is for you - come and join us in the Mummies Matters Membership and join a kickass community of women leading with heart, soul and keeping it real while wanting to have it all.

All this for a very low price of only £14.99 per month (if you are currently attending my Pilates classes the cost is only £9.99). On top of this we are offering this to you for only £2.99 for the first 30 days!!

Don’t miss out, come and join this great community of mums. All you need to do is follow the link below which will take you to PayPal and you'll then be directed to my mailing service and membership site. I look forward to seeing you there, Susie x

Please note that after your 30 day trial period has ended, you will automatically be subscribed for the next month with the next payment being taken when the trial period has ended. If you do not wish to continue after the trial then please ensure that you cancel your subscription before the trial period ends.

The founder of mummies matter, Susie - a Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor, would love to welcome you to our courses in person.

Meet the Pilates Team

Susie Rasul

Hi, I'm Susie I am a Chartered Physiotherapist and qualified in 2000. I am an APPI-trained Advanced Pilates Instructor and have been teaching pilates since 2003. I am a mum of 2 and have used Pilates to regain my fitness and retrain my tummy muscles. I have taught pilates in the NHS, private hospitals and at private studios. I have seen first hand the difference it can make to people's pain levels, confidence and posture.

I started Mummies Matter in 2016 when I realised how few Pilates classes were available for antenatal and postnatal ladies. Being a mum myself, I realise how difficulty it can be to find time for yourself; yet being a physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor, I understand the importance of maintaining muscle tone and fitness levels throughout pregnancy and post baby.

I wanted to create a class environment providing different opportunities for mums to find time to exercise. I recognise that pregnant mums often want to exercise in the evening, postnatal mums after their baby or children have gone to bed, and new mummies need the option of daytime classes that they can bring their babies to. It was important for me to create a timetable that offered all of these options.

Sarah Keogh

Hi, I'm Sarah. I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2008 from Manchester Metropolitan University. I have worked in a variety of NHS and private settings. I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health Professionals Council.

I specialise in neurological and musculoskeletal Physiotherapy which rehabilitates those with lower back pains as well as upper and lower body pains. I use exercise prescription with all my patients and I excell at adapting programmes to suit your individual needs. I have been combining these skills with a Pilates based approach for a number of years.

I started my Pilates Matwork certification in early 2015 with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute and have been teaching Pilates exercises in both individual and group settings on a daily basis ever since.

At mummies matter, we are very proud of our relationship with you, our customers. Here is a selection of the kind words people have said about their time with us.
